DIBHAPOXY- 400
(Prime Coat for M. S. Surface)

INTRODUCTION:

DIBHAPOXY-400, is introduce to provide prime coat to complex plants to  overcome  sand blasting, it is modified pigmented high solids  two components  Epoxy  based  [Resin & hardener]  air drying systems, specially formulated for Anti-corrosive coating in high corrosive Zones  and coastal  areas. It is composition of Epoxy, Resin, Hardeners, Pigment paste, fillers for good  flexibility  flow, wetting  and Rust Mingling properties The process of weighting odd quantities of components is eliminated, hence the two  components   are  mixed before application in equal proportions by volume.

Proper surface preparation is  most   important  element in assuring surface   protection, but in   many situation  do  not  allow  blast  cleaning, especially in area   where sensitive instrument ,electric motors  hydraulic  equipment and the like are in close proximity. The  complete  system   permits excellent adhesion, thoroughly soaking into rust layer and tightly bonding to the underling metal.

 Resin    part   1.0    pbv     1.0 pbw 
 Hardener   part   0.5    pbv     0.4 pbw 

  (2) Finish  :  Glossy ….. RUST BROWN
  (3) Viscosity of mix  :  50  +/-  10 seconds.(By Ford cup no.B4)
  (4) Coverage of mix  :  8   - 10 sq.mt/coat with 50 microns.
  (5)  Pot-life  of mix   :   30 - 40      minutes   at 30.c
  (6) Curing  :  Normally within 2 hours. Further coating after 4 hour
  (7) Coats recommended  :  Single  coat.
  (8) Shelf -life  :

 2 months when stored in tightly sealed containers   
 below  35.C

SURFACE PREPARATION :

For better adhesion, it is essential to clean the surface on which  “DIBHAPOXY-400”  is to be applied. To  remove dust, dirt or loose particles by emery paper, wire brush. To  get  optimum   performance  the surface must be dry, free from oil, grease and sufficiently roughened.

APPLICATION AREAS :

Priming M. S. plates, roof stiffeners, fertilizers plants, paper industries, sugar  industries, distillery  plants, thermal power station, exterior coating to water tanks  & pipe lines, sewage  drains effluent treatments plants, rubber lining industries, flyovers M .S. structures, domestic grills, M. S. reinforced rods, M .S. dome of  Bio-gas plants etc.

PRECAUTION :

  • Mix only the required quantity of material ,which can be utilized within stipulated pot-  life  to avoid soldification.

  • Wash all the tools and tackles with industrial solvent immediately after the application is Completed.

SUGGESTION FOR COATING :

Below                  0.5  mm rate of   corrosion P.A.     : DP-400 & Oil Paint
Between              0.5  - 1.25 mm     ----do --------        : DP-400 & DP-430
Above                 1.25          mm     -----do---------        : DP-400 & DL-CRC
